The Polar Jade has a delicate texture with bright green colour, which is produced in the Arctic Circle. It is regarded as the best texture among Canadian jades.
 
Because the Polar Jade is only produced in a special area of the Arctic Circle, where it is located in a high elevation, severely cold area. The environment is so harsh that the mining time is only about 2 months in summer each year. Due to the extremely remote mining sites, it is a huge challenge for the miners to transport the jade. Such a gorgeous Polar Jade is hard to come by.
 
The Polar Jade mining area was discovered by Mr. Kirk Makepeace in 1994.
 
The famous geologist, Fred Ward, described the Polar Jade as ‘the most delicate, greenest, hardest and rarest‘ jade in 1999.
 
Polar Jade remains to be the most sought-after BC jade on the market.
